Established in 2007 and originally offered exclusively to secondary school students, StartSmart ensures the Commonwealth Bank Foundation communicates to young people in a way they understand by involving them in an interactive and fun learning experience while equipping them with essential money management skills for life.
 
Since its inception in 2007 StartSmart has reached over 115,000 students and their teachers right across Australia.
 
This year, the work of the Commonwealth Bank Foundation and specifically our StartSmart program, was recognised with a 2009 Australian Business Award for Community Contribution.
